Finding your dream make-up artist

Once your wedding preparations have begun, it is an extremely exciting time. Often, brides come to me with lots of questions about make up on their big day and how best to prepare their skin. On this blog post, I am going to explain the process from consultation to the big day!

Getting to know each other

The first thing I would advise any bride who is thinking of booking with me to do is look through the pictures on my website and Instagram pages. Once you have decided I am the make-up artist for you, we can book in for a discovery call.

A discovery call is the opportunity for us to get to know each other better, talk through your plans for the big day and answer any questions you may have. These can be done via telephone, Zoom or in person.

After the discover call, if you decide I am the make-up artist for you, we can secure your wedding date.

Time for a trial

As you get closer to your wedding, I advise you have a make-up trial 6-8 weeks before. On the day of the appointment, you should bring along some inspiration pictures, so I can see your vision for your big day! Once you arrive, we will discuss your vision and I will get to work! This is the time for us to trial and tweak your make up to make sure it’s perfect for your big day! Once your make up is finished, we will have a look in the natural light and make sure you are happy!

Preparing for your wedding day

I also offer many treatments to help you prepare for your wedding. Skincare is obviously a huge part of how your make up will look on the day.

I can do free skin consultations and advise you of the best products for your skin. In addition, I offer bespoke dermalogica facials. It is recommended you start your skin care journey, 12-9 months before your wedding.

There are so many other treatments I offer, that make sure you feel a million dollars, Including eye extensions, lash lift, nails, tan, waxing, brow lamination and so much more.

The big day

Before your wedding day, a schedule of the day will be carefully planned and shared with yourself. I will arrive in plenty of time and stay until you leave to walk down the aisle for last minute top ups!

On the morning, I will work with the hairstylist to coordinate our schedules. We will create a relaxed atmosphere and work through the bridal party’s make up. With an hour to spare, everyone will be looking glamorous and there will be time for make-up touch ups, getting changed, photographs and enjoying the last bit of time with your bridal party before getting married!
